After being sandwiched between two Carolina Panthers late in the fourth quarter, Priest Holmes slowly walked off the field and never returned to the game.
Warpaint Illustrated has confirmed that he was wearing a special boot over his ankle on Monday and his status for this weekends game against the Houston Texans this Sunday at Arrowhead.
If Holmes has a high-ankle sprain that means he could miss a significant period of time. That means the offense which has struggled thus far this season will have to get better with an ailing wide receiver group and an injured tight end.
Eddie Kennison has a pulled hamstring and his status for this week is in doubt. Reports that the Chiefs are starting talks with Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Keenan McCardell; could not be confirmed.
