ESPN Reports Chiefs and Edwards Reach Deal

According to a report on the Kansas City Chiefs and the agent for Herman Edwards have reached an agreement that would pay the former New York Jets Head Coach $12 million over four seasons.

On Friday night a report circulated that Herman Edwards and the Chiefs had already agreed to a $20 million deal that would be paid out over five years. I

As of this writing, t's not known at this time which report is true but it would seem that some heated negotiations took place from Friday to Sunday in regards to the terms of this agreement.

Edwads was making only $2 million per season with the Jets. It the report is true, Edwards will be getting a $1 million a year pay raise from the Chiefs.

Regardless, Edwards is expected to be announced as the Kansas City Chiefs 10th head coach at a news conference at Arrowhead stadium on Monday.
