Green Dealt To Dolphins

The Kansas City Chiefs have dealt quarterback Trent Green to the Miami Dolphins. The deal that seemed in doubt in recent weeks has finally ended after 3 months of hot-cold negotiations. With the deal finally consummated, both teams can move forward with their quarterback plans for 2007.

The stalemate ended today when the Chiefs demanded that the Dolphins accept their latest deal or lose the opportunity to get Trent Green in time for this weekend's mini-camp. The Dolphins agreed to give the Chiefs a conditional 2008 5th round pick for Green.

The deal could be a 4th round pick if Green takes 70% of the Dolphins' snaps this season. According to our partner Jay Glazer with Fox, Green is in route to Miami where he'll take a physical in the morning.
