Week 13 Recap:
Waste of Space (104.92)
Arrowhead Pride (101.00)
Finally getting some help from players not named Donovan McNabb, Arrowhead Pride came within a whisker of pulling off the upset. In addition to the 36 points McNabb earned in the Thanksgiving game against Arizona, Jason Witten, Larry Johnson, and Donald Driver all chipped in with scores in the mid-teens.
But led by 33 points from Aaron Rodgers and 22 points from Adrian Peterson, Waste of Space was able to hold on for the victory, keeping a firm grasp on the third playoff seed.
Arrowhead Addicts (107.68)
Warpaint Pubs (78.54)
Had this recent turnaround come sooner for Arrowhead Addicts, we might have been talking about them in the playoff mix. Even with a disappointing 8 point effort from Brett Favre against the generous Broncos' defense, Adam still managed to win this one going away thanks to 33 points from Texans' back Steve Slayton and 19 points from the Baltimore defense.
Nick got 34 points from Tony Romo's effort against Seattle, but the next highest scorer on the team was Steven Jackson, who barely cracked into the double-digits with 11 points.
Sphinx Domination (124.66)
We Play To Win The Game (76.18)
Jay Cutler finally came through for me with a big game, but Brandon Marshall's struggles continue. Since the Broncos' game with Kansas City in late September, Marshall has only scored one touchdown and hasn't had a single 100-yard game. If the Cutler-to-Marshall combo can't produce big numbers against the Chiefs in Week 14, the writing will be on the wall in regards to my chances at the championship.
And on that subject, Sphinx Domination officially has a chance to capture the WPI fantasy league title, as Darren's victory in this matchup has allowed him to lock up the fourth and final playoff spot. Thomas Jones led the way with 30 points against Denver, while Larry Fitzgerald, Terrell Owens, and Titans' kicker Rob Bironas made large contributions to the win, as well.
The Runnamuckers (99.18)
Team Pat Is God (48.70)
One week after helping lead Team Pat to an upset victory, Peyton Manning led the way to the blowout of the week by only contributing a measly 2 points in the Colts' 10-6 squeaker over the Browns.
Meanwhile, led by 32 points from DeAngelo Williams and 24 points from Kurt Warner, The Runnamuckers – who locked up their playoff spot last week -- got back on track with a big win.
Week 13 Transactions:
- Topher dropped Bears' TE Greg Olson to pick up Pats' QB Matt Cassel.
- C.E. dropped the wounded Plaxico Burress and grabbed Carolina's Mushin Muhammad to replace him.
