Thomas will enter Canton this year with Cowboys wide receiver Bob Hayes, Vikings guard Randall McDaniel, Bills defensive end Bruce Smith, Steelers safety Rod Woodson and Bills owner Ralph Wilson, Jr. He is the 14th Kansas City Chief inducted to the Hall of Fame and joins Willie Lanier and Bobby Bell as Chiefs' linebackers inducted into the Hall.

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt spoke on behalf of Thomas at Saturday's announcement press conference. Thomas' mother, Edith Morgan, was also present.
