Chiefs Re-Sign Jarrad Page

The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed restricted free agent S Jarrad Page, the team announced on Friday. Page was tendered at a second-round level and will be paid a base salary of $1.545 million for 2009.

Page (6-0, 225) has seen action in 48 games (34 starts) during his three-year career with the Chiefs. He has tallied 185 tackles (160 solo), a sack (-3.0 yards), 10 interceptions for 69 yards, 22 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one QB pressure. He has added 17 special teams tackles, one fumble recovery on special teams and a four-yard carry on a fake punt.

The Oakland, California native joined the Chiefs as a seventh-round draft choice (228th overall) in 2006. He produced 249 tackles (169 solo), 15.5 tackles for loss (-39.0 yards), a sack (-9.0 yards) and nine interceptions for 116 yards with two TDs during his career at UCLA.

With Page under contract, only two restricted free agents remain unsigned--TE Owen Daniels (Houston Texans) and OT Tyson Clabo (Atlanta Falcons). Top Stories
