Chiefs Add Former Packer to the Roster

Some familiar names return to the practice squad. But that wasn't the only addition the Chiefs made Sunday evening.

Coming on the heels of Saturday nights final roster cuts, the Kansas City Chiefs have added eight players to their practice squad.

Each of the eight members assigned to the teams taxi squad were cut by the Chiefs the day before.

Additionally, the Chiefs made a successful waiver claim on nose tackle Anthony Toribio, who was released by the Green Bay Packers. Toribio came into the league in 2008 as an undrafted free agent and has spent time on the practice squads of the Packers and the Miami Dolphins.

To make room for Toribio on the roster, the Chiefs released receiver Quinten Lawrence, a sixth-round pick in 2009. Lawrence bounced on and off the Chiefs' roster throughout his rookie season, so an eventual return to the team may be possible. Top Stories
