Women's 101, 201 set

Colts' female fans can learn about the NFL from players.

The Indianapolis Colts will again be offering the popular Women’s 101 and 201 clinics at the team’s Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, 7001 W. 56th St.

The informative sessions are designed to give female fans a more in-depth look at the game of football. Each clinic includes a dinner from Abuelo’s, visits from Colts players and more. Registration for both clicks is now open at www.colts.com under the FanZone tab. Attendees must pre-register online to attend. Cost is $70 per clinic.

The Women’s 101 clinic is from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 30. This session is for first-time attendees and is a chance to enhance your knowledge on the game in a classroom setting. The clinic covers basic vocabulary, player positions, and lineups, among other common topics.

Current and former Colts players, NFL officials and team personnel will be the teachers and provide a rundown of how the game and the league work.

The Women’s 201 clinic is from 5 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 11. This is for repeat 101 attendees and allows participants to hit the indoor field and become quarterback or wide receiver. Current and former Colts players as well as team personnel will also participate. Women will get to try passing, catching, kicking as well as join defensive drills designed by the team.

Women are encouraged to wear their sweets to class because it’s a guaranteed workout.
