Offensive guards Jack Mewhort and Hugh Thornton, who missed the last game with injuries, returned, as did defensive tackle Arthur Jones, a limited participant for the first time after missing four games with a high ankle sprain.
Pagano, as usual, started his press conference with an injury report update, then addressed the Colts (4-2) getting ready for a Sunday game against the Cincinnati Bengals (3-1-1) at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The video includes the coach discussing the team’s offensive progress — the Colts are No. 1 in points scored and total yards — as well as offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton and coaches deserving more credit than they have received.
He also discusses how the Colts have generated 17 sacks with coordinator Greg Manusky’s 3-4 blitzing scheme, considered by many a surprise because NFL reigning sack champion Robert Mathis won’t play a down this year due to a torn Achilles.
