Video: Chuck Pagano talks injuries, Steelers

Colts coach provides injury update on Reggie Wayne, Trent Richardson, chats about upcoming game at Pittsburgh.

Here are excerpts from Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano’s Wednesday press conference as his 5-2 team prepares for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh:

— As usual, he started off with an injury report update. The most obvious question marks are wide receiver Reggie Wayne (elbow) and running back Trent Richardson (hamstring), who are both listed day-to-day.

— Pagano discussed the consistent play of cornerback Vontae Davis.

— He was asked about how both Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger are known for extending plays by shaking off defenders. Pagano, a former Baltimore defensive coordinator, has had his share of AFC North Division battles with “Big Ben.”

— Pagano was asked if he’s comfortable with the team’s depth at running back should Richardson’s hamstring injury linger, and he talked about how he doesn’t think the injury is serious but the team will have a better idea about availability by Friday.
