Colts announce summer Hoosier State tour

Fan Fests in Columbus, Evansville, Logansport are highlights as well as Lucas Oil Stadium open house during mini-camp.

The Indianapolis Colts will kick off their Hoosier state summer event schedule with a Fan Fest in Columbus outside The Commons on May 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.

It’s the 12th consecutive year the Colts have hosted a traveling marketing campaign featuring players and cheerleaders. This tour includes three Fan Fests, a mini-camp Fan Open House at Lucas Oil Stadium as well as two “Colts at Bat” events in conjunction with the Louisville Bats and Fort Wayne Tin Caps minor league baseball teams.

“This year marks our twelfth season hosting a summer events around Indiana and Louisville,” said Pete Ward, Indianapolis Colts COO. “We are fortunate to have a passionate regional fan base outside of our home city, and we look forward each year to traveling throughout the state to say thanks.”

The Columbus Fan Fest at 300 Washington Street will include live music, autographs from Colts players and cheerleaders, free Colts giveaways and Colts In Motion, the team’s traveling museum. Fans may also sign up for one of the Colts’ Official Fan Clubs, register to win Colts tickets, play on the Colts interactive inflatables and test their skills in the Play 60 Zone.

A second Fan Fest will be June 4 in Evansville on Vine Street next to Vectren Corporate Headquarters, 211 Northwest Riverside Dr., from 5 to 7 p.m. (central time).

The third Fan Fest will be June 12 in Logansport at Riverside Park, 1212 Riverside Dr.

The first Colts at Bat will be on June 5 at Louisville Bats Slugger Field, 401 E. Main St., at 6 p.m. Player autographs are from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and cheerleader autographs from 7:30 p.m. until the fifth inning.

The second Colts at Bat will be June 11 at the Fort Wayne Tin Caps’ Parkview Field, 1301 Ewing St., at 5:30 p.m. Player autographs are from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. with cheerleader autographs from 7:15 p.m. until the fifth inning.

As part of an open practice on June 10 at Lucas Oil Stadium, fans are invited to an open house at the venue at a time to be determined. Lucas Oil Stadium is at 500 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis.

The Colts encourage all fans to arrive early at summer events. The line for player and cheerleader autographs may be cut off at any time to ensure the tour remains on schedule. Inclement weather or traffic may cause for late arrival or early departure.

All events will take place rain or shine. Fans will be allowed one autograph per person, however, fans can get back in line for additional autographs.

Player names for each event will be announced in May and are subject to change.
