Mothers interested in learning more about football safety are invited to attend a special Indianapolis Colts event on Saturday at the team complex.
The free “Mom’s Football Safety Clinic” will be from 10 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, 7001 W. 56th St., Indianapolis.
The event will be centered on USA Football’s “Heads Up” initiative that stresses the importance of league certification and tackling techniques to help ensure youth player safety.
This event will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to learn first-hand from experts in sports medicine, hear from Colts/USA Football representatives, and hit the football field for a training session with a USA Football Master Trainer.
To pre-register for the event, visit www.colts.com/myindianafootball/youthfootball/moms-clinic.html or contact Phil Andrews at 317-808-5322 / Phil.Andrews@Colts.NFL.net.
All attendees are encouraged to come dressed in active wear (i.e. tennis shoes and athletic apparel).
