Some of these games have been ridiculously impossible to predict. Did anyone really expect Dallas to win at Washington on Monday night?
I thought Detroit beating Green Bay at Lambeau Field a while back was the biggest upset of the season, but all that changed when Philadelphia prevailed at New England on Sunday.
Sorry to say, the Colts’ humbling 35-point loss at Pittsburgh was predictable, considering last year’s visit to Heinz Field. The Steelers covered as expected, and then some. The hunch is the Colts will bounce back Sunday at Jacksonville.

Vikings +9.5 at Cardinals — Late to post this week’s picks, but I had already decided on taking the Cardinals to win and the Vikings to cover. Pick: Cardinals 24, Vikings 17.
Falcons +8 at Panthers — Carolina has been rolling right along, but for some inexplicable reason, the hunch is Atlanta will make a game of it. Pick: Panthers 27, Falcons 17.
Redskins +4 at Bears — Will Chicago ever win a game at home again? Well, Washington can’t seem to win on the road, either, so flip a coin. Pick: Bears 30, Redskins 24.
Steelers +1 at Bengals — It’s understandable to take Pittsburgh after Sunday night’s beatdown of Indy, but Cincy won earlier in the Steel City. Pick: Bengals 34, Steelers 31.
Colts +1 at Jaguars — The Colts have won 16 consecutive AFC South Division games and the Jags are coming off a home loss to the Chargers. Pick: Colts 27, Jaguars 24.
Chargers +11.5 at Chiefs — Kansas City is playing so well and absolutely embarrassed San Diego on its home field. Maybe this will be closer. Pick: Chiefs 30, Chargers 20.
Titans +8 at Jets — Nice of Tennessee to finally win a game again, but hitting the road against a team in the playoff hunt doesn’t bode well. Pick: Jets 34, Titans 23.
Bills +2.5 at Eagles — Philly’s stunner doesn’t mean this team is fixed all of a sudden. Buffalo isn’t exactly a lock, though. Another toss-up. Pick: Bills 29, Eagles 26.
Lions -3 at Rams — A little extra time to recover from losing on a Hail Mary is a long time to sit for the Lions. But St. Louis is showing no life. Pick: Lions 27, Rams 23.
Saints +6 at Buccaneers — Tampa Bay won at New Orleans, so course it wouldn’t be surprising if the Saints returned the favor. Pick: Buccaneers 26, Saints 23.
Seahawks -10 at Ravens — Seattle is playing so well and Baltimore has obvious injury issues, so it’s tough to expect home team to cover. Pick: Seahawks 33, Ravens 17.
Raiders +6 at Broncos — Denver is now in the mix for the AFC’s No. 1 seed while Oakland has certainly falling back to earth of late. Pick: Broncos 23, Raiders 13.
Cowboys +6 at Packers — Green Bay has obvious offensive issues, but nothing compared to what Dallas has been dealing with this season. Pick: Packers 38, Cowboys 17.
Patriots -5 at Texans — No way New England loses three in a row. That just doesn’t happen. Texans will make defending champs earn it. Pick: Patriots 27, Texans 20.
Giants -2.5 at Dolphins — The G-men have continually disappointed. So, too, has Miami. So it should be a close game on Monday night. Pick: Giants 20, Dolphins 17.
