NFL Picks 2015: Week 17

Colts are three-point home favorites Sunday against Tennessee.

The end to this NFL regular season can’t get here soon enough from a picks standpoint. After playing catch-up all season, the numbers just never came around with so many unpredictable outcomes.

The Colts continually contributed to the category, especially against the spread. They're three-point favorites at home against Tennessee Sunday and usually cover against the Titans, which means it will be a one-point game.

Last week saw a 9-7 mark straight up and 6-9-1 against the spread. The 118-113-9 overall mark against the spread marks the most pushes in a season in nearly two decades of picking games.

Week 17

(Odds by Oddsshark.com)

Saints +6 at Falcons — Atlanta got lost after a hot start, but showed with a win over unbeaten Carolina this team could have achieved more. Pick: Falcons 34, Saints 27.

Jets -2.5 at Bills — As much as Buffalo coach Rex Ryan would love to prevent his former team from making the playoffs, his current team is already done. Pick: Jets 23, Bills 20.

Lions +1 at Bears — Good luck figuring out this one. Chicago has been awful at home. Detroit has been better in second half of season. Flip a coin. Pick: Bears 26, Lions 23.

Ravens +9 at Bengals — Baltimore surprised everyone with a home upset of the Steelers. Cincinnati can’t keep its quarterbacks healthy. Pick: Bengals 20, Ravens 13.

Steelers -10.5 at Browns — No Johnny Football? And Pittsburgh is a bit ticked off after possibly blowing a playoff spot last week. No contest. Pick: Steelers 30, Browns 16.

Redskins +4 at Cowboys — Washington doesn’t need to risk getting important guys hurt after clinching division. These games can be tricky. Pick: Cowboys 20, Redskins 17.

Jaguars +6.5 at Texans — Sorry, Colts fans, but Houston isn’t going to mess this up. Jacksonville can score, but not against a solid defense. Pick: Texans 26, Jaguars 19.

Titans +3 at Colts — The home team has been reduced to starting a quarterback who hasn’t taken a snap this season, but the visitors are awful. Pick: Colts 17, Titans 13.

Patriots -10 at Dolphins — Nothing Miami showed last week gave any indication this team can play with New England, which just lost. Pick: Patriots 30, Dolphins 19.

Eagles +3 at Giants — Perhaps Philly will fly a bit now that coach Chip Kelly has been fired. But the G-Men can blow a lead against any team. Pick: Giants 34, Eagles 17.

Buccaneers +10.5 at Panthers — Carolina will bounce back after finally losing. Bucs have been on steady decline in second half of season. Pick: Panthers 30, Buccaneers 16.

Raiders +7 at Chiefs — After allowing Cleveland to play ‘em close at Arrowhead Stadium last week, this line for the Chiefs sure seems a bit iffy. Pick: Chiefs 24, Raiders 20.

Seahawks +6.5 at Cardinals — Seattle played like it was looking ahead to Arizona last week. Cardinals have stayed focused. Pick: Cardinals 30, Seahawks 24.

Chargers +9 at Broncos — Denver hasn’t been scoring a bunch. San Diego can do that. But Bolts won’t play much defense at Mile High. Pick: Broncos 26, Chargers 20.

Rams -3 at 49ers — OK, St. Louis has crossed up everyone again. Jeff Fisher’s team does that every now and then to suggest what could have been. Pick: Rams 23, 49ers 16.

Vikings +3 at Packers — Not that Green Bay is rolling into this division title showdown, but go with the guys in green at Lambeau Field. Pick: Packers 34, Vikings 30.
