Colts' Draft Parties Include Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Three parties in as many days culminate with bash at IMS.

The Indianapolis Colts will have three free NFL Draft parties including an event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to commemorate May’s 100th running of the Indy 500.

The first draft party is at 7 p.m. April 28 at Kilroy’s Bar N’ Grill (831 Broad Ripple Ave.). Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo and tight end Jack Doyle will be signing autographs from 7 to 9 p.m. A live radio remote with FM 93.5 and 1070 The Fan will feature Rick Venturi, Joe Staysniak and Greg Rakestraw.

That’s the opening night of the draft, when first-round selections will be made in Chicago. The Colts have the 18th overall selection.

Draft party No. 2 will be at 7 p.m. April 29 at the downtown Colts Grille (110 W. Washington St.). Former Colts cornerback Marlin Jackson will be signing autographs. Bud Light is sponsoring both of the parties, that will include draft specials. NFL teams will be selecting players in rounds two and three.

Festivities conclude on April 30 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (4790 W. 16th St.) with a party from noon to 4 p.m. that includes Colts players and IndyCar drivers announcing team selections in rounds four and five. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. The Speedway is in the midst of an extensive promotion for the 100th Indy 500 on May 29th.

Fans should enter at Gate 2 off 16th Street. Free parking is available inside the track. Seating is in the Tower Terrace grandstands.

Rounds four through seven are completed that Saturday. The Colts have a selection in each round except the sixth — they sent that pick to Oakland last year to acquire linebacker Sio Moore.
