As the regular season approaches, it's important for ColtPower Members and Premium Members to know how to take advantage of some of the great services now available to you -- and to keep up on what's been happening behind the scenes at ColtPower.
As the pro and college football seasons ramp up, don't forget that at the Scout.com network, ColtPower Members have access to all free content and free forums across the entire network. Visit any site and read stories about your other favorite teams and post on their free forums. And ColtPower Premium Members can read every premium story at every site and gain access to the premium forums across the entire network. It's a great way to stay informed about your favorite teams!
The network has updated some of the content links on the home page, providing an NFL Injury Wire so you can stay up to date on key injury information from around the league. And if you play fantasy football, don't miss the new link to our Fantasy section located as a link directly below our banner on the home page.
Another great feature for fantasy players and any fan who has favorite players is "My Hot List" which is right next to the Fantasy link below our banner. You can select players and by going to that page you can stay up to date on news regarding each one of them. The Hot List feature is available to everyone providing you have at least registered for a free account through our home page.
We've also been provided with a team media center section on the home page for our Premium Members where you can listen in on some of our player and analyst interviews. We just added this, so we'll be sure to include portions of future interviews out there for your enjoyment.
If you like to keep an eye on stats, don't forget that with Scout.com's acquisition by FoxSports, we now have extensive stats info for you through the Team Info and NFL Stats links below the site banner. There's more info than you'll know what to do with, so get familiar with these areas before the season kicks off!
Behind the Scenes
We've recently completed loading up images to all the player profiles in our Roster Section, which you can access through the Team Info link below our banner or through the links in the left hand column. Each player link on the roster takes you to their personal page with the photo and all past story and injury updates for that player. We're currently working on their outdated bios, but you can take a look at Gerome Sapp's player page to see what they will all look like by the team the season starts.

Congratulations to our most recent winners in our Premium Forum who were the first to correctly answer our trivia questions. "Indianapolis Colt" from NJ won an autographed Steve Emtman card and "Slugster" from IN won a Sports Illustrated magazine from last December featuring Peyton Manning on the cover. Premium Members should visit the forum often to have a chance to be our next winner!
We've kicked off our ColtPower Roster Vote in both our Members Forum and Premium Members Forums. Together with the rest of the forum fans, you get to build the Colts' 53-man roster. We've selected 26 players as the base for the roster. Each day you'll get to add players to the roster via our polls until we reach 53 players. So make sure you get your votes in, and then watch to see how close you come to projecting the final roster!
11 more members recently upgraded to Premium Memberships including colt44, who posted this nice note in our forum in response to our welcome message:
"I'd been on the fence for a while then I gave the free trial a shot and I was hooked. I've seen this site break more Colts news before anyone anywhere and the site has news and insight you just don't get any place else. For die hard fans that want as much info as they can handle this is the place. Thanks again and keep up the excellent work."
The season's about to begin, so don't miss your chance to read all the great analysis and commentary by our staff and the additional information we provide to our Premium Members in their forum. Premium Members get the opportunity to talk Colts football directly with our writers, so don't miss another day of enjoying the complete Colts fan experience.
If you don't want to use a credit card, or don't care for the automatic renewal aspect of Scout's subscription process, just send us a note. Alternate payment options are available for semi-annual and annual subscribers.
ColtPower recently added sportswriter Todd Taylor to help provide detailed commentary and analysis that you're sure to enjoy. Todd is currently completing his Journalism degree at Ball State University and has interned as a writer for the Lebanon (IN) Reporter. He kicked off his sportswriting debut with some terrific reports from training camp, including an interview with Colts President Bill Polian.
ColtPower Publisher Ed Thompson talked about the Colts' players, draft picks and upcoming season with former NFL players Bill Lewis and Dale Hallestrae on their "From the Bleachers" sports talk show (1060 KDUS AM in Phoenix). Some of their top questions during the 15-minute live interview included the outlook for Edgerrin James, whether or not any of the rookies were ready to start, can Peyton top his 49-touchdown pass performance of last season, and who was the biggest threat to the Colts this season on their road to the Super Bowl? Ed picked the Steelers, not the Patriots, as the toughest competitor for the AFC title this year due to the personnel hits the Patriots have taken during the offseason, and Pittsburgh's balanced offensive attack and depth of talent on the defense.
Have a suggestion or a question? Send us a note anytime using the "Contact Us" link in the left column of our home page. We're always looking for ways that we can make ColtPower a better experience for you!
