Kendyll Pope Suspended by League

Colts emerging linebacker handed a suspension by the league office according to three of our sources close to the NFL.

Coltpower has confirmed that LB Kendyll Pope has been suspended by the NFL. Exactly what he has been suspended for and for how long is not known at this time. We will bring you more information on this situation as it becomes available. The league is expected to release a statement on Wednesday.

Pope did not play in the Colts' matchup against the Broncos last Saturday reportedly due to a shoulder injury. Teams are prohibited from commenting on or discussing suspensions, so any further comments are likely to come from the league office.

"That's something we're not able to comment on," head coach Tony Dungy said. "I guess the league office would need to comment on that."

"It's disappointing. Kendyll was doing very well, playing well and doing the things that we thought he could do and was having a very, very good camp. So (the suspension) was very disappointing to us."
