Former Colts cornerback Donald Strickland has evidently recovered from his hamstring injury. While he simply visited the 49ers last week, he actually had two tryouts this week.
In Seattle, he was one four defensive backs to work out for the Seahawks. Strickland went through the paces along with Kevin Garrett, Andre Lott and Lance Frazier. But in Cleveland, Strickland was the lone candidate at his position to workout for the Browns. There was no word of a contract offer from either team at this point.
Former Colts defensive end Nathaniel Adibi also got a look by the Seahawks and was the only defensive end to tryout that day.
Former Colts running back Brian Allen out of Stanford had a tryout with the 49ers.
The Bills are using their bye week to assess a huge number of players, bringing in roughly 40 for tryouts including former Seahawks LB Solomon Bates. He failed his physical earlier this summer when the Colts attempted to sign him. Other notable names from the long list were RB Larry Croom and former Notre Dame LB Mike Goolsby.
The 49ers took a look at four quarterbacks, including former Florida quarterback Jesse Palmer and former Bengal Casey Bramlett who tried out with the Colts last week.
Before settling on running back Mike Cloud today, the Patriots also took a look at Orlandis Gary, Jesse Chatman and Anthony Thomas earlier this week.
