ColtPower has learned that former Colts cornerback Donald Strickland had a tryout in Dallas as he continues to search for a new home. The Cowboys also took a look at journeyman defensive back Michael Hawthorne who was released by the Rams after five games this season. He's also been with the Saints and the Packers during his six years in the NFL.
We previously reported in The Buzz that Strickland had a tryout with the Seahawks, as did former Colts DE Nathaniel Adibi. It appears the Seahawks aren't going to make him an offer, opting instead to activate Eric Pruitt from their practice squad. Adibi, on the other hand, was signed to Seattle's practice squad.
Also getting a look from the Cowboys the same day as Strickland was former Colts LB Greg Favors.
Another former Colt is looking for work as defensive back Raymond Walls, who debuted his pro career with Indianapolis back in 2001 was released by Arizona. Walls played for the Browns and the Ravens before joining the Cardinals this year.
The Colts are expected to activate LB Tyjuan Hagler today or Thursday, setting the stage for a possible debut on special teams against Houston.
