Two Colts Sidelined With Injuries

The Colts defense took a couple of hits even before the action started this week. Two key players are unlikely to be on the field Sunday, including Colts sacks leader Robert Mathis.

The post-practice injury report for Wednesday was issued and it didn't have very good news for the Colts defense.

Pass rush specialist Robert Mathis, the Colts' leader in sacks is listed as doubtful with a foot injury. Run-stuffing defensive tackle Corey Simon is questionable. Neither one practiced on Wednesday.

"They probably will be held out unless they miraculously recover and they're 100 percent by Sunday," Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy said.

Linebacker Cato June, who was inactive last Sunday due to a variety of injury problems, also didn't practice, but Dungy was more optimistic that June could play against San Diego.

"He's going to do some running tomorrow, and hopefully practice," he said. "If he practices (Thursday), I think he has a real shot to play."

Offensive tackle Tarik Glenn missed Wednesday's practice reportedly with flu-like symptoms.

The Chargers have a number of players listed as questionable on their report, but all are practicing and likely to play.
