It's very possible that an all-time record nine Colts could end up playing in the Pro Bowl in January.
Today, seven Colts were informed that they would be playing in Hawaii as members of the AFC roster in the Pro Bowl. Peyton Manning, Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison and Jeff Saturday will be on the AFC's offense while Cato June, Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney will be with the defensive unit.
Offensive tackle Tarik Glenn was initially told that he had also been selected, which would have marked the fifth time that the Colts would have had eight players in the all-star game -- the highest number in franchise history.
But a few hours later, the Colts were notified by the NFL that a computer problem caused a tabulation error, and that Glenn was actually a first alternate behind Cincinnati's Willie Anderson, Baltimore's Jonathan Ogden and Kansas City's William Roaf. If any of them aren't able to play, Glenn would get the opportunity to play in his second Pro Bowl. He made the team last year as an alternate.
Wide receiver Reggie Wayne could also get a call to be added to the roster, joining Harrison in the wide receiver corps. Harrison will be playing in his seventh Pro Bowl. The other three wide receivers selected were Chris Chambers (Miami), Rod Smith (Denver) and Chad Johnson (Cincinnati).
