According to one of our sources, safety Mike Doss recently had shoulder surgery just to clean up some minor issues. He's currently wearing a sling but expects to be ready for offseason workouts.
The buzz out of Indy is that the combination of Indy's cap situation and the uncertainty of the Collective Bargaining Agreement are both factors in not bringing kicker Mike Vanderjagt back in 2006. The availability of other reliable free agent kickers -- who won't command the kind of dollars that Vanderjagt will on the free agent market -- is also a factor in the equation according to one source.
