Our affiliate partner at is reporting that four candidates are on the Cowboys' radar for the kicker position: Mike Vanderjagt (Colts), Adam Vinatieri (Patriots), Josh Brown (Seattle), and perhaps even Todd Peterson (Atlanta). They are suggesting that Brown, a restricted free agent, may be emerging as the frontrunner since Vanderjagt doesn't have a good reputation for kickoffs and Vinatieri is likely to want more than they are willing to spend. Seattle has already tendered a one-year, $712,000 offer to Brown, but if a team is able to sign him away, it would only cost them a seventh-round draft pick. Mike Vanderjagt's agent contacted Dallas last weekend, but any further interest by the Cowboys' organization has yet to be confirmed.

The Eagles signed WR Jabar Gaffney (Texans) to a one-year deal.

WR Kevin Walter has received an offer sheet from Texas; Bengals have until March 20 to match or receive 7th-round pick as compensation.

UFA TE Jeb Putzier's (Denver) agent Joe Linta told Wednesday that the New York Jets, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, and Cincinnati Bengals are showing the most interest in his client.

Sammy Morris had a good visit with Seattle this week. However, a source close to the situation said that Morris isn't expecting to hear back from the Seahawks regarding their interest until the Steve Hutchinson situation is settled. Morris is also getting some interest from the Dolphins about re-signing. has confirmed DE DeQuincy Scott (Chargers) has a visit setup with the Denver Broncos.

According to a league source, it's believed UFA FB William Henderson is leaning toward re-signing with the Green Bay Packers. Henderson, according to the source, wanted more than the Minnesota Vikings were willing to pay in a signing bonus, estimated to be in the neighborhood of $3 million. has learned that another unrestricted free agent from the Packers, quarterback Craig Nall, was also unable to come to a contract agreement
with the Vikings because of the signing bonus. Nall met with the Vikings on Tuesday. The Vikings also wouldnt commit to him being the No. 2
quarterback on the team. has confirmed that restricted free agent wide receiver Nate Burleson will be visiting with the Seattle Seahawks Thursday afternoon
and leaving Friday afternoon, according to Burleson's agent, Ken Sarnoff.

The Buffalo Bills reached a contract agreement with UFA S Matt Bowen (Redskins).

The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Kelly Campbell is expected to sign with the Dolphins, according to a source.

Seahawks free agent tight end Ryan Hannam visited the Dolphins today.

QB Josh McCown (Cardinals) agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions. QB Joey Harrington has parted ways with the club and some of the teams rumored to be interested in him include the The Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders,  Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints.

The Chicago Bears signed cornerback Dante Wesley, who had been with the Carolina Panthers, to a two-year contract.

Seattle has already tendered a one-year, $712,000 offer to Brown. The team would have to receive a seventh-round draft pick.

Wide receiver Rod Gardner has agreed to a one-year contract, re-signing with the Packers, according to his agent Joel Segal.

RB Travis Minor has agreed to a one-year deal to return to Miami.

OG Lewis Kelly re-signed with the Giants. Kelly spent most of last
season on the practice squad.

Chargers WR Reche Caldwell visited the Patriots today.

Free-agent offensive guard and starter Stephen Neal (Patriots) visited with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday.

The Buffalo News is reporting that defensive tackle Jermaine Haley, a former Miami Dolphin who was out of
the NFL last season, is expected to visit, along with safety Keyon Nash, who has seen time with Oakland the past four seasons. There were indications
out of New York the Bills may invite Jets free-agent left tackle Jason Fabini for a visit. has learned UFA G Toniu Fonoti (Vikings), who failed the Oakland Raiders team physical, is close to agreeing to a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
