ColtPower's Draft Day LIVE WIRE - 10:45 p.m.

Check this story throughout the day! ColtPower's Ed Thompson will be reporting on the sights and sounds of the NFL Draft from Radio City Music Hall. We'll keep you up to date on the Colts picks, breaking news and the Colts' AFC South rivals!

10:45 p.m. - Ed Thompson ran into a Colts' representative who said he was "real, real pleased" with the selection of Joseph Addai, saying he was definitely the guy they wanted.

He also indicated the Colts' were planning on drafting either Addai or DeAngelo Williams depending on how things turned out.

9:10 p.m. - Thompson and draft experts expect the Colts to look at a Guard tomorrow for more depth and to challenge Jake Scott and Ryan Lilja.

If you are wondering why Polian hasn't drafted any Big Ten players yet, history has shown the SEC has been his second favorite conference for draft picks.

7:49 p.m. - Thompson reported draft experts expect the Colts to select either Ohio State cornerback Ashton Youboty or Stanford outside linebacker Jon Alston.

6:57 p.m. - Thompson feels if the Colts are going to select an outside linebacker in the second round it would likely be Jon Alston from Stanford or Clint Ingram from Oklahoma.

If the Colts don't draft an ouside linebacker in the second round and these players are off the board by the third round, he doesn't expect the Colts to draft a player at that position until the second day due to the drop off in talent after these two players.

3:56 p.m. - Thompson reported that two of the three representatives at the Colts' table nodded their heads in expectance following the Patriots' choice of Laurence Maroney.

3:33 p.m. - Texans' owner Bob McNair went on to talk about his coaches outlook on the decision, "In their view we will have the fastest front four on third down, in a passing situation or against a two minute offense that we go against. We'll have the fastest front four in the league."

He compared the Texans' decision to the Colts' big off-season dilemma. "Indianapolis had the choice of signing James or Freeney, they could not sign both of them. They had the same decision to make that we had to make, and the decision they made was that the defensive end was more important to that team than the All-Pro running back, and that's basically the decision that we've made."

McNair referenced that his defensive coaches think that Williams can be another Reggie White.

3:13 p.m. – Ed Thompson was in attendance as Texans' owner Bob McNair spoke with the media about the team's selection of Mario Williams. "It was a tough choice… coach Kubiak felt like he could make a big improvement in our offense with the players we picked up in the off-season and with his team," he said. "We needed more help on the defensive side. If we're going to beat Indianapolis, and that's what we have to do in our division, we have to have a good, strong pass rush to try to contain Peyton Manning."

McNair continued, "You know, look at it this way -- if we had Bush, would we outscore the Colts? Our decision was no," he said. "What's our best chance of beating Indianapolis…that's with a pass rush and that's with Mario Williams."

In response to the criticism from fans he said, "If you don't win football games your stupid anyway, so what difference does it make?"

2:04 p.m. - Ed Thompson attended Reggie Bush's press conference. In summary, Bush expressed no disappointment with being selected by the Saints. He said he is eager to make the people of New Orleans happy after all they have been through and he can't wait to put smiles on their faces. He said it just comes down to a business decision.

Bush talked to Leinart and told him just because he wasn't the first quarterback selected, that doesn't mean he isn't a great quarterback. During the press conference Leinart's selection to the Arizona Cardinals was announced and Bush seemed pleased.

Thompson reported quite a bit of surprise around the building regarding the Detroit Lions' selection of Ernie Sims. He said most thought he would be a middle to late first round pick and that it was a reach.

12:46 p.m. - ColtPower Publisher Ed Thompson is in the media room at Radio City Music Hall.

Currently, there is a buzz in the building as Jets' fans anticipate the selection of USC quarterback Matt Lienart.

In regards to the Titans' selection of Texas quarterback Vince Young, Thompson heard a media member say, "Well, that's going to set them back a few years."
