Freddie Keiaho Rounds Out Day 1

San Diego State linebacker Freddie Keiaho is the third new member of the Indianapolis Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts' third round pick, Freddie Keiaho, is the definition of versatility. During his career at San Diego State he played fullback, outside linebacker, middle linebacker, kick returner and various other special teams' duties. Keiaho was also a running back in high school, pilling up over 2,000 rushing yards his senior year.

He found his niche at San Diego State his senior season, taking over at middle linebacker, recording 113 tackles (11.5 for a loss), two fumble recoveries and an interception. This earned him 2005 All-Mountain West first team honors.

Keiaho will make an instant impact on special teams, he blocked four punts returning one for a touchdown during his college career and is a relentless tackler. His sophomore year, Keiaho was the Aztec's best kickoff returner, returning 21 kickoffs for 430 yards.

At 5-11, 224 pounds, Keiaho could also be an option at the outside linebacker position, especially considering his speed--he ran a 4.68 40-yard dash.
