The Colts had a 13-game winning streak on the line as they hosted the San Diego Chargers in 2005. Offensive tackle Ryan Diem was downed by an injury just three snaps into the game, forcing the Colts to shuffle their line. Right guard Jake Scott moved to right tackle while Texas Tech rookie Dylan Gandy entered the game for his first extensive line duty of the season.
The Colts struggled to keep the Chargers away from Peyton Manning, but it wasn't simply the loss of Diem or the debut of a rookie that caused the problems. Gandy talks about that day, and debunks the common fan theory that a supposed "weakness" in a single game will be exploited by future opponents. In this exclusive audio for ColtPower Insiders, he provides some insider insight as to what really happens from week to week during the NFL season. And he also talks about what he's been learning from starters Jake Scott and Ryan Diem.
If you missed our interview with Dylan Gandy last year shortly after he was drafted by the Colts, ColtPower Insiders can also click the link below to enjoy that audio flashback as well.
