Colts, Rushing Agree to Terms

7/29 6:05 pm (ET)... ColtPower has learned that former Stanford cornerback and returns specialist, T.J. Rushing, has agreed to terms with the Indianapolis Colts. Rushing was the Colts' seventh-round selection in this year's draft.

T.J. Rushing will be in camp on time for the Colts as the team prepares to open their training camp this weekend. According to Rushing's agent, Adisa Bakari, they have agreed to a four-year deal. He declined comment regarding the contract's financial details.

The Colts gave up their 6th-round selection in the 2007 draft to the Titans for the opportunity to pick up Rushing. Indianapolis didn't have a seventh-round pick of their own as they had traded that away last summer to the Titans for linebacker Rocky Calmus.

During his career at Stanford, Rushing made 147 tackles (118 solo), and was credited with four sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 12 passes defensed, and four interceptions. As a returns specialist, he had a 26.8-yard average on kickoffs, including 3 for touchdowns, and a 9.1-yard average on punt returns.
