Last night ColtPower broke the news that third-round pick Freddie Keiaho was heading to Terre Haute to join his teammates in camp, his contract problems apparently resolved. That was confirmed this morning when Keiaho took the field for his first reps of training camp.
In addition to the players who are on PUP, WR Aaron Moorehead, LB Cato June, and DT Sweet Pea Burns -- who are being held to one practice per day because of previous injuries -- were on the sidelines. Joining them were LB Gary Brackett, C Jeff Saturday, and seventh-round pick T.J. Rushing. Out of that trio, the only information that I've been able to confirm is that Rushing's injury is just a "tweak,"not serious, and he should be back in action soon.
A player that has been missing for a couple of sessions now, with no word yet on why, is rookie linebacker Kyle Killion. He left practice the first day with what appeared to be heat-related problems. He returned after that initial visit to the locker room on Monday, but has been missing as of late.
Rookie linebacker Dale Robinson wasn't on the field this morning. His absence after the news of being added back to the roster is quite puzzling.
Rookie safety Antoine Bethea, picked off a Josh Betts pass this morning during 6-on-6 drills, but then left the field with what looked like a minor leg injury. Rookie defensive back Antwaan Marsh also appeared to have a leg problem that forced him out as well, although his didn't appear to be serious either.
From what we're hearing, DT Montae Reagor could miss up to two weeks with his knee problem that forced him to have an MRI. That would likely indicate that it's just a sprain, but we'll continue to see what we can find out.
Two players just barely avoided what could have been a disastrous helmet-to-helmet collision. ColtPower Insiders can find out who was involved, along with descriptions of some of the best plays of the morning by clicking here for our Wednesday Morning Camp Insiders Report....
