Thursday's Special Teams Practice Notes

The Colts only had a one-hour special teams practice on Thursday. But even that wasn't so simple in light of the fact that they spent half of it in a driving rain that made it difficult to really determine who was making progress.

A short practice impacted by a driving rain doesn't leave a whole lot of room for analysis, so we'll just share a few basic observations from today.

Vashon Pearson, T.J. Rushing, Mike Doss, Bob Sanders, Tim Jennings, Eric Hill, Antoine Bethea, and Antwan Marsh did not practice.

Rookie linebacker Kyle Killion returned to practice, but there's been no word about his absence over the last few practices.

Ashlan Davis and Terrence Wilkins got most of the kickoff returns work today.

Adam Vinatieri and Shane Andrus each took turns on kickoffs, but with the conditions as they were, it's probably not fair to make any comments about their kicks. We did make one correction to last night's practice report where we noted that Andrus had two blocks kicked in pre-practice drills. The rookie out of Murray State only had one blocked, as did Vinatieri.

We wish there was more to report, but there just wasn't much action and you really couldn't tell what was weather related versus performance related today. We'll pick up our full coverage again for you on Friday.
