The Indianapolis Colts signed another pair of their training camp rookies to their practice squad on Monday pushing the total of the squad to six.
Former Colorado State center Albert Bimper and former Miami defensive back Tanard Davis were added to the team's practice squad. They joined two other rookies, QB Josh Betts and OT Daniel Federkiel, as well as second-year players DT Vincent "Sweet Pea" Burns and TE Joey Hawkins.
But Monday evening, three players who made the 53-man roster were waived to make room for former Dallas and Tennessee LB Rocky Boiman, former Tennessee DE Bo Schobel, and recently waived Colts OG Matt Ulrich.
Seventh-round draft pick and returns specialist T.J. Rushing, WR John Standeford, and rookie OT Michael Toudouze were all waived, although they'll likely be added to the practice squad if they cleared waivers Tuesday afternoon.
Standeford's release was the most risky since he raised his profile with 10 catches during preseason action. The release of Toudouze, a fifth-round pick in this year's draft, perhaps was the most ironic since both he and the newly added Schobel are former TCU football players.
If the Colts are able to move all three waived players to the practice squad Tuesday evening, they will have to release one of the other six to make room since the maximum practice squad roster size is eight.
ColtPower will continue to update you on roster moves as we're able to confirm them.
