The Colts officially released center Mike Johnson, who was one of their NFL Europe designees last year with the Amsterdam Admirals. He was originally signed late in 2005 to the Colts practice squad after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs. But Johnson landed on the NFLE injured reserve list with a hamstring injury and missed all of last year's training camp and season with Indianapolis.

Late last week, the Colts added practice squad offensive tackle Michael Toudouze to the roster for 2007, raising the total of signings from the practice squad to six. They had previously re-signed QB Josh Betts, FB Luke Lawton, WR Devin Aromashodu, C Albert Bimper, and DB Tanard Davis.
This week the contracts of three other practice squad players expired, making RB Kory Chapman, TE Aaron Halterman and DT Vincent "Sweet Pea" Burns free agents. While Chapman and Halterman were free agent signings, Burns was a third-round draft pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by Indianapolis. He was placed on the team's practice squad injured reserve list late last year.
Former Colts recently involved in transactions included DE Nathaniel Adibi who was added to the Titans' roster and will be heading to NFL Europe. Also making the trip overseas is OL Rob Hunt, another 2005 Colts draft pick who is now with the Chiefs. And wide receiver Adam Herzing has been released by the Steelers.
