Colts go wide receiver, corner in the fifth

The Colts pick another Ohio State wide receiver and a cornerback in the fifth round of the NFL Draft.

The Colts selected Ohio State wide receiver Roy Hall and Alabama State cornerback Michael Coe in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Hall, the 169th pick, was the third Ohio State player selected by the Colts in this year's draft. At 6-foot-3, 238 pounds, Hall ran a 4.38 40 yard dash at his Pro Day, impressing scouts.

At Ohio State, Hall was not a primary target for Troy Smith, seeing limited playing time, but caught 13 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Hall is a physical receiver who is a good blocker and may have potential in an H-back role for the Colts down the road.

With the 173rd pick in the fifth round, the Colts selected Alabama State cornerback Michael Coe.

Coe has great size at cornerback (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) and ran a 4.53 40 yard dash. Coe transferred from Arkansas his senior year to play for his father, Charles, at Alabama State.

At Alabama State, Coe was named to the All-SWAC first-team and had 42 tackles (four for loss), 1.5 sacks, 16 passes defended, one fumble recovery and two interceptions in 2006. Coe also returned punts for the Hornets.

Coe already earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications.
