Worsley Re-signed, Malin a No-Show

With ten defensive players on their injury list and a preseason opener against Dallas scheduled for Thursday night, the Indianapolis Colts made a roster move to add some depth at linebacker. Meanwhile, a player they claimed off waivers earlier this week failed to report.

The defending World Champion Indianapolis Colts open their 2007 preseason tonight at Dallas, but they've listed thirteen players on their injury list, including three linebackers: Rocky Boiman, Keith O'Neil, and rookie Clint Session. So the team re-signed Victor Worsley on Wednesday to add some depth.

The former North Carolina linebacker was originally signed as an undrafted free agent back on May 4th, but was cut on July 27th, just before the team opened camp in Terre Haute.

Earlier this week, we reported that the Colts had claimed defensive end J.J. Milan who had been waived by the Oakland Raiders. The former Nevada lineman was slotted onto Oakland's depth chart as an outside linebacker, but the Colts would have undoubtedly allowed him to try working at his natural position as his physical size and his quickness off the edge matches their protypical defensive end.

But as of Wednesday's practice, Milan still hadn't made an appearance at camp, and ColtPower has learned that the team has now placed him on their reserve/did not report list. According to one of our Scout.com network sources, Milan is considering no longer pursuing a career as a pro football player.

The Colts' injury report for tonight's game in Dallas is as follows:

OUT: Safety Bob Sanders (shoulder), linebacker Keith O'Neil (abdomen/hip), linebacker Clint Session (hamstring), defensive tackle Tom Johnson (calf), defensive tackle Anthony McFarland (knee), defensive end Bo Schobel (chest), defensive end Robert Mathis (knee), defensive end Ben Ishola (ankle), defensive end Noland Burchette (groin), safety Brannon Condren (groin), offensive tackle Charlie Johnson (hip), running back Kenton Keith (ankle).

QUESTIONABLE: LB Rocky Boiman (ankle)

Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. (ET). The game will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
