Titans Will "Run the Ball No Matter What"

Titans QB Vince Young made it clear this week that the Titans are committed to the run no matter what defenses do. Find out his thoughts on future opponents loading up the box to challenge him to throw and much more.

On what areas of his development as a QB he's most pleased with...

"Just in the offense, I'm more comfortable working with what [offensive coordinator] Norm [Chow] wants to do. He's giving me different audible checks and different things, giving me more leeway to check different things off if I see something in the defense."

On what types of problems he creates for defenses when he runs the ball...

"I feel like with our offensive line and Chris (Brown) running the ball like he is and LenDale (White) and me doing the different things of getting outside on the edge, I really feel a lot of defenses don't want to let me get on the outside, because of what I can do with my legs."

On how teams will attempt to keep him in the pocket and not let him run but beat them with his arm...

"That's fine. I feel like the guys we have on our outside are great guys that make plays for the outside. If the guys want to load up in the box, I feel like the receivers can make key plays, as well as our tight ends. I just have to be patient and deliver the ball down field at the right place at the right time."

On Tony Dungy's comments regarding his talent, athletic abilities, and being a winner...

"That means a lot, but I don't feed a lot into the stats stuff and all the other stuff that goes on. I just focus into that W and L [wins and losses]."

On the Titans' commitment to run the football...

"That's Coach Fish [Jeff Fisher] and Norm Chow. We're going to run the ball no matter what the defense is trying to do. We really feel like the guys we have up front really do a great job of making the blocks and our receivers as well do the same thing."

On the importance of not causing turnovers...

"It means a lot. We have to be on the field, take care of the ball. They [Colts] have an offense that likes to take long drives, big 12-play drives. Whatever we can to keep the guys off the field, that's what we have to do."
