The Indianapolis Colts agreed to a free-agent contract with a defensive back Tuesday in an effort to improve their struggling defense. National NFL Reporter Adam Caplan is reporting the Indianapolis Colts have reached a free-agent contract agreement with cornerback Nick Graham.

Graham made the final roster of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 coming out of training camp as an undrafted free agent.

The Tulsa product appeared in 15 games with the Eagles last season and had 12 total tackles. The Eagles waived Graham after training camp this season.

According to Caplan, Graham had a workout recently with the Cleveland Browns and the St. Louis Rams also showed interest in him.

Although opponents have attempted a league-low 100 passes on the Colts, the team is awaiting the results of an MRI on starting cornerback Kelvin Hayden's knee, which he injured during Sunday's win over Houston.
