KICKOFF: Sunday, 1:00 ET
TV: CBS (Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker)
SERIES: 14th meeting. Colts lead series, 12-1, with the Colts owning a 6-0 record in Indianapolis. They are also on a three-game winning streak in the series. In the last meeting, the Colts won 31-27 in Reliant Stadium when the Colts scored 21 points in the final quarter. Sage Rosenfels turned the ball over three times in the final four minutes.
PREDICTION: Colts 30-27
KEYS TO THE GAME: The Texans are seeking better ball security from QB Sage Rosenfels. He has eight turnovers in three appearances, include three in a span of 3:04 to cost Houston the first meeting with the Colts. Indianapolis generates a lot of pressure when it knows a pass play is coming, so Rosenfels has to make quick decisions. Rookie RB Steve Slaton had 93 rushing yards and a pair of scores in the first meeting, and must help Houston remain balanced. ... The offensive line is playing better and QB Peyton Manning is starting to churn out big yards, but the Colts' running game is mired in last place in the NFL averaging just 69.2 yards per game. Texans DE Mario Williams had a pair of sacks in the first meeting and will again be a major factor if the Colts are so one-dimensional.
KEY INJURIES: Texans: WR Andre' Davis (finger) and LB Morlon Greenwood (ankle) are uncertain; DT Amobi Okoye (ankle) looks like a long shot; QB Matt Schaub (torn MCL) is out. Colts: CB Kelvin Hayden (hamstring) is not expected to play; WR Reggie Wayne (ankle) will play.
FAST FACTS: The Texans are 0-6 in Indianapolis, where they have lost by an average of 19.3 points. This will be their first game at Lucas Oil Stadium. ... Manning has a 118.4 passer rating with 31 touchdowns and five interceptions in 13 career meetings.
