NOTES: 'Boys pounded by Packers

Dallas falls to 1-7 on the season after suffering a Sunday night beatdown to the Packers.

—S Alan Ball notched his first career sack on one that he split with Orlando Scandrick in the first quarter against the Packers.

—RB Marion Barber rushed six times Sunday today to give him 1,000 career carries — the sixth Cowboy to reach that figure. Of course, he was part of an abysmal attack against the Packers. The running game almost had an historic low, if not for a late run. The Cowboys had 39 rushing yards, with Felix Jones going for 16 yards on five carries and Barber picking up 14 on six attempts.

--In throwing for 183 yards today, Kitna now has 28,042 passing yards for his career to pass Craig Morton (27,908) and Ken Stabler (27,938) for 46th all time.

—QB Jon Kitna had two interceptions in the game against Green Bay, giving him six in two starts in place of the injured Tony Romo.

—P Mat McBriar landed three punts inside the 20-yard line against the Packers to give him 144 career punts downed inside opponents' 20 to tie Danny White for the second-most in franchise history.

—CB Brian McCann made his NFL debut Sunday as the team's kickoff returner and as a reserve on defense. His first career kickoff return went for 29 yards in the second quarter, and he finished with an average of 27.8 yards per return.

—NT Jay Ratliff blocked his second career kick against the Packers on a 54-yard first-quarter field-goal attempt by Mason Crosby.
