Haywood on Life Support

Ennis Haywood was placed on life support Saturday after falling ill during the day, according to several published reports. The Dallas Morning News reported that Haywood began vomiting in his sleep during the early morning hours on Saturday and stopped breathing, prompting the family to call 911.

A nursing supervisor at the hospital told the paper that Haywood's family requested no information about his condition be released.

The 24-year-old Haywood participated in the Cowboys' three-day mini camp last week. After leading the team in rushing during the 2002 preseason, he secured a spot on the practice squad.
