Cowboys - Dolphins Grades

Dallas rallies to defeat Miami on Thanksgiving Day.

PASSING OFFENSE: B — Quarterback Tony Romo threw two interceptions in the first quarter but was brilliant the rest of the way in two tossing touchdown passes and repeatedly making plays with his feet to avoid sacks. Laurent Robinson caught two touchdowns passes and now has touchdowns in five straight games.

RUSHING OFFENSE: B — The Cowboys rushed for 85 yards, including 22 carries for 87 yards by rookie DeMarco Murray. They numbers weren't big but they were effective especially late in the game when the Cowboys were able to control the ball and the clock on the game-winning field goal drive.

PASS DEFENSE: C — The Cowboys had four sacks but they were victimized too many times in the secondary by quarterback Matt Moore, who had 19 completions on 32 attempts for 288 yards and a touchdown. He had a quarterback rating of 99.5. Terence Newman and Alan Ball were each flagged for interference.

RUSH DEFENSE: B — The Cowboys' defense is back to being stingy against the run, limiting the Dolphins to 89 yards on 25 carries. Linebacker Sean Lee was all over the field with eight tackles and a sack.

SPECIAL TEAMS: A — The Cowboys gave up a 39-yard kickoff return to set up a field goal but they got a big return from Dez Bryant to set up their final score and two field goals including the game winner from Dan Bailey.

COACHING: B — The Cowboys willed themselves to a victory despite not playing their best. They won their third straight game over the last 12 days. Jason Garrett and his team did enough to be in first place in the NFC East.
