Cowboys 'Romo Wednesday' + Milestones

IRVING - It's a 'Romo Wednesday,' but we've also got Cowboys news on Joseph Randle, Rolando McClain, Tyron Smith and a new signing.

The Big Lead: Romo Wednesday

Tony Romo is taking off the Cowboys' midweek practice, as has been his custom for a month, all in preparation for the Giants on Sunday and hopefully in preparation for ...

*Extending his streak of consecutive games with a TD pass to 35. That would put him one game behind Brett Favre's 36, which is the fifth longest streak in NFL history.

*Getting 229 passing yards to pass Steve McNair for 37th most in NFL history.

*Winning, which would mean Romo would have a three game-winning streak over the New York Giants, matching a career long. It would also be Romo's eighth win vs. New York, the same number of wins he has vs. the Redskins and the most for Romo vs any other opponent.

*Passing for one touchdown, meaning he can extend his NFL record of most career TD passes vs. the New York Giants (32).

*Throwing for two TD's vs. the Giants, meaning he will extend his streak of consecutive games with multiple TD passes to five, just two games less than his career high.

*Trying to extend a good one: Romo has eight straight games with a completion percentage over 60, which is the second longest streak of his career. The longest streak in his career is 17.

*And a biggie: Passing Roger Staubach on Sunday for the second most starts by a QB in Dallas Cowboys franchise history (115).
