Cowboys Day Two Targets: Top 60 Remaining

With picks 60 and 91, Dallas currently has two additional opportunities to improve the talent of their 2015 roster. Here's a look at the top players they'll be choosing from.

After selecting cornerback Byron Jones with the 27th pick of the first round, the Dallas Cowboys still have some work to do. Corner was one of several positions which Dallas needed a talent infusion, and on Day Two, they will look to fill additional slots on their depth charts. The team still has a hole atop the running back position, lest someone feel that Darren McFadden is a surefire bet to improve on his 3.2 yards-per-carry average of the last three seasons.

The club could use an edge rusher with the current suspension timetable (pending appeal) putting Greg Hardy out until Week 11. Linebacker has plenty of talent with Sean Lee and Rolando McClain, but little assurance they can remain top notch for all 16 games due to injury concerns. The team could also use help in the middle of their defensive line and just like you can't have too many corners, wide receiver is always a thought.

Jones was ranked 11th and 19th on the two CowboysHQ Big Boards, so he was a definite win at pick 27. Here's a look at the Top 60 remaining players, of which Dallas will be able to grab two prospects from.

The Final Word

“I do think as we wait for that pick to come our way again we’ll be patient (in Round 2), and I think we’ll get to pick from two or three guys we want to pick. And I’ll be surprised if that doesn’t happen whereas (in the first round) we were getting down to the nubbins.” - Stephen Jones.
