Dallas Cowboys Hall-of-Fame running back Emmitt Smith is one of the best there ever was, elusive and powerful and durable.
It appears his son E.J. Smith is working to follow in some of those same footsteps.
EJ Smith may be a freshman at Jesuit High in Dallas, but he's also Emmitt Smith's ... and on this play you see some of the Smith want-to. E.J. takes on eight defenders after a short reception, dragging five of them past the first-down marker, while his teammates appropriately go bonkers.
E.J. is 5-10, 180 pounds and wears No. 22 just like his father. And I never like to put "like-his-dad'' pressure on a teenager. But this is certainly fun to watch.
