Rookies Dak + Zeke + Cowboys Dominate Pro Bowl Voting

Rookies Dak and Zeke - And The Cowboys in General - Dominate Pro Bowl Voting

With a week left in the fan-voting portion of the selection process, two Dallas Cowboys rookies lead the voting for the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Monday.

Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott leads all players with 681,361 votes, followed by teammate and fellow rookie Dak Prescott, who had 607,621 votes at the time of the release.

Following the rookie vote-getters were veteran quarterback Tom Brady, who missed the first four games of the season due to suspension, with 519,210 votes; WR Antonio Brown with 508,913 votes; and QB Derek Carr with 500,770 votes.

Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, Dan Bailey, Chris Jones and Sean Lee, all of the Cowboys, also lead the voting at their positions.

As owner Jerry Jones said: “Part of winning in the NFL is having that type of fan support and visibility."

Fan voting continues until Dec. 13 on www.NFL.com/probowlvote. Fans can also vote on the 2017 Pro Bowl roster via social media by using #ProBowlVote and the player’s first and last name on Twitter and Instagram. On Facebook, fans may comment on any official Pro Bowl Vote post by the NFL or a club.

NFL players and coaches cast their votes on Dec. 16. Each of those three group votes – the fans, players and coaches – count one-third toward determining the Pro Bowl rosters.  This year, the Pro Bowl returns to the more traditional method of an AFC all-star team competing against an NFC all-star team.

Pro Bowl players will be announced on Dec. 20 in a live primetime special on NFL Network.

The game will be played on Jan. 29, 2017 and simulcast live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
