The Dallas Cowboys knew this was coming: One-Tech defensive tackle Terrell McClain -- who had interest from market value rising. Atlanta, Washington and Seattle and more -- is "Dancing Bear''-ing his way to the Redskins.
Sources tell us that McClain is getting a four-year deal worth about $21 million. The deal with the Redskins can go official at the start of the NFL's free agency period at 3 p.m. today.
McClain, 28, finished last season as Dallas' leading tackler among defensive linemen with 41 tackles, also recording 2.5 sacks. He also led Dallas in end-of-week dance routines during practice inside The Star in Frisco.
McClain was hurt most of 2015 but started 15 games for Dallas in 2016. ... which wasn't the original plan, as the Cowboys signed Cedric Thornton away from Philly to win a starting job. Dallas brought in Thornton at $4 million annually last season ... and now it will be his turn to take the job that was "supposed'' to be his.
We are also told -- by Ronald Leary himself -- that he has finalized a deal with the Denver Broncos. ... sounds like four years and $35 mil, with $20 mil guaranteed.
