Cowboys News & Notes

Cornerback Derek Ross could be back in action this weekend as the Cowboys travel back up to New York to take on the New York Jets. He is "officially" listed as questionable for the game, but we are hearing he should be ready to play.

-- DE Ebenezer Ekuban has 1.5 sacks his season, which is more than the one sack he had for the entire 2002 season. However, Greg Ellis remains the team's best end. He has a sack, a forced fumble, a deflected pass that led to an interception and leads all defensive linemen in tackles.

-- WR Joey Galloway leads the Cowboys with 10 catches for 180 yards, ranking him 13th in the NFC in receptions and eighth in yards.

--RB Troy Hambrick has rushed 37 times for 113 yards this season, giving him a 3.1 yards per carry average, down from his career average of 5.1.

--CB Derek Ross is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets after being out since the preseason with a sprained knee. Ross practiced last week without incident and should be ready to help the Cowboys as a nickel corner.
