Cowboys Trade Down

Just when it looked like the Dallas Cowboys would go with Steven Jackson with the 22nd overall selection, Jerry Jones and company traded down with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills selected Tulane quarterback J.P. Losman with their newly acquired pick.

The Dallas Cowboys traded their first round pick of the 2004 NFL Draft to the Buffalo Bills for 3 additional draft picks. Two of those picks will come this year in the second and fifth round respectively.

The last pick obtained by the Cowboys will be the first round selection of the Bills next year.

The Cowboys could be in a position to trade up later today, but as of right now, their first pick of the 2004 NFL Draft will be with the 43rd overall selection.
