With rumors flying around about Quincy Carter's future with the Dallas Cowboys, SilverStarDigest is hearing from several sources that Quincy Carter will be released by the organization. <b>(Updated 11:34 CT)</b>

SilverStarDigest has learned that Quincy Carter will be released by the Dallas Cowboys.

Carter was not at practice this morning in Oxnard and he was seen leaving in a car from the Residence Inn parking lot earlier this morning.

Sources have been in contact with SilverStarDigest earlier this morning.

The Cowboys drafted Carter in the second round out of Georgia in 2001. He finished his career in Dallas 16-15 as a starter, passing for 3,305 yards with 17 touchdowns and 21 interceptions.

Sources also indicate that the Cowboys will name Vinny Testaverde as their starting quarterback.
