Cowboys - Eagles Report Card

Grades are handed down from Monday's tough loss.

PASSING OFFENSE: C -- QB Vinny Testaverde completed 21 of 30 passes for 254 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Tight end Jason Witten had another strong game with nine receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns. However, the Cowboys got little from everyone else. It was not an effort that made the Eagles defense fearful, and that was before the Eagles' 101-yard interception return for a touchdown.

RUSHING OFFENSE: F -- The Cowboys' inability to mount a ground game is downright embarrassing. The Eagles are soft against the run against everybody else but were good enough to handle the Cowboys. Eddie George rushed 11 times for 39 yards. The Cowboys rushed 24 times for 71 yards as a team.

PASS DEFENSE: F -- Quarterback Donovan McNabb tossed four touchdown passes, three to Terrell Owens. But the story was the same for the Cowboys: Nobody made a play on defense, including none of the team's cadre of millionaire performers, safety Roy Williams, linebacker Dexter Coakley, defensive tackle La'Roi Glover, linebacker Dat Nguyen and cornerback Terence Newman. The Eagles had five plays of at least 20 yards or more, including three of 59, 59 and 60.

RUSH DEFENSE: F -- Not only did the Eagles throw at will, they ran through the Cowboys defense as well (33 carries for 149 yards). Dorsey Levens led the way with 12 rushes for 73 yards.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C -- Punter Mat McBriar might have had his best game of the season. Reshard Lee kept the Cowboys in the game with several strong kickoff returns. Lance Frazier's muffed punt in the first quarter led to an Eagles touchdown and proved to be one of the game's early turning points.

OVERALL: F -- Another blowout loss to the Eagles has put backup quarterback Drew Henson one step closer to being on the field. The biggest question Monday night: Why didn't he get time in the fourth quarter of a blowout game? With the season all but over, it's just a matter of time now ... but maybe not on Sunday on the road against the Ray Lewis and that Ravens defense.
