The Dallas Cowboys will open the 2005 regular season at the San Diego Chargers on Sept. 11. The game will be the second game of a national doubleheader on FOX.
The remainder of the schedule will be revealed at a later date.
NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue revealed the televised openers Monday at the NFL's annual owners' meeting.
The Chargers won the AFC West last season behind the strong running of LaDainian Tomlinson and the surprising play of quarterback Drew Brees.
