Pro Day Results: 3/24/2005

Brandon Browner takes the field today with the hopes of improving his poor performance from the combine. Several other highly rated prospects will be working out at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California today and we will provide live updates throughout the afternoon.

At 8:30 this mornings NFL Scouts were alerted that a big storm was to hit Carson, but instead of getting the prospects to the field and running the 40's and other drills they elected to do HT's and WT's. By doing so, by the time they hit the field, the rain storm had hit and the amount of water that had been pored onto the field became instant problems for the prospects who hoped to better their draft ranking with NFL scouts.

Changing spikes and trying to run without falling, slipping or injuring is becoming an issue. Reports on all stats will come this afternoon.

Brandon Browner and Craig Bragg have already announced they will hold another workout next week under better conditions.

While most Scouts will not count today's times because of the terrible weather and field conditions, several prospects decided to work out anyway.

CB Abraham Elimimian bettered his combine time by posting a 4.69 in the 40.

CB Matt Clark improved his 40 times from a week ago, by posting a pair of 40's of 4.58 and 4.62. Still suffering lingering affects of`strep throat, Clark ran his shuttle time in impressive fashion clocking 4.31and 11.43 in the long shuttle.

QB Timmy Chang worked out in front of scouts but looked unimpressive.

WR Earvin Johnson of UNLV ran a 40 of 4.67. FB Manuel White Jr. of UCLA ran a 4.73 in the 40.

WR Craig Bragg ran a 4.75.

CB Brandon Browner was unable to improve his combine time, and Browner as most all the players hope to work out next week in better conditions.

In other news:
S James Sanders ran a 4.54 and weighed in at 215 at individual workouts last week. The New England Patriots have set up a personal interview and plan to bring Sanders to there facility for a interview.

Besides C.J. Mosley coming to Hofstra for a personal interview with the Jets, they will also bring in Iowa's DT Jonathan Babineaux.

Earlier this week during Houston's pro-day, former rice CB Patrick Dendy ran a 4.33 for scouts and looked impressive for scouts. The Indianapolis Colts are interested in Dendy and bring the CB in for a workout as well Stanford Routt.
